Svelati i nomi dei 9 corridori della Nippo Vini Fantini che parteciperanno al 99° Giro d'Italia che scatterà dall'Olanda e più precisamente da Apeldoorn ,nella provincia di Gelderland , con la prima tappa, un cronoprologo cittadino di 9.8 km venerdì prossimo. Damiano Cunego, al suo 11° Giro d’Italia e vincitore della Corsa Rosa nel 2004, guiderà il team. Con il leader carismatico Grega Bole e il ragazzo “in fuga” Giacomo Berlato. Debutto nella corsa rosa per il giovane talento giapponese Genki Yamamoto e per il talento trentino Iuri Filosi.
Il DS Stefano Giuliani ha sciolto le ultime riserve: “Abbiamo valutato attentamente tutti i corridori, molti dei quali in ripresa dopo gli infortuni, e ci siamo confrontati con con tutto il management con l’obiettivo di onorare al meglio l’appuntamento più importante della nostra stagione, il Giro d’Italia, nel quale vogliamo lasciare il segno. Abbiamo già considerato anche la formazione per il Tour of Japan che si correrà a fine maggio e in concomitanza con il #giro, per non lasciare nulla al caso è avere una formazione competitiva e vincente anche nell'appuntamento clou della stagione asiatica”. DAMIANO CUNEGO: #TeamCaptain Talento, grinta, esperienza e, da questo giro, fantasia. Alla sua 11° partecipazione al Giro è pronto a guidare i compagni nella corsa rosa. “Sono pronto e determinato, sto bene fisicamente e ho studiato attentamente molte tappe di questo Giro per fare bene attaccando. Il Giro di quest'anno é disegnato perfettamente per il mio obiettivo da Cacciatore di tappe. Voglio tornare ad alzare le braccia al cielo e voglio farlo dando il massimo in qualche azione importante. Come nel mio stile io correrò dando il meglio, e sono sicuro di poter raccogliere ottimi risultati”.








Il Team Italo-Giapponese NIPPO Vini Fantini per la corsa più dura del mondo nel paese più bello del mondo riserva però due amare sorprese per due corridori amatissimi dal pubblico e tenaci atleti della squadra. Non parteciperanno al Giro d'Italia Daniele Colli, pluripiazzato al Giro di Turchia, dove anche oggi, in volata ha ottenuto un brillante quinto posto e Pierpaolo De Negri, il corridore spezzino che ha espresso la propria amarezza sul suo profilo facebook.

Se per Daniele Colli era quasi scontata l'assenza alla Corsa Rosa ( temo, ma questo è un mio personalissimo parere, per gli strasichi della caduta dell'anno scorso provocata da un tifoso pseudo-fotografo nella tappa di Castiglione della Pescaia ) ha suscitato qualche perplessità l'esclusione dal Giro di Pierpaolo De Negri, ma non sta di certo a me decidere quali siano i corridori della Nippo Vini Fantini che devono partire per l'Olanda ! Come scrivevo qualche riga sopra lo stesso atleta spezzino, 5 vittorie tra i professionisti più la Classifica a punti del Tour of Japan nel 2013 ha scritto la propria sorpresa sul suo profilo facebook.

The Sports Director of Nippo Vini Fantini, Stefano Giuliani has been talking for a long time with all the staff and with the Japanese Team Manager Hiroshi Daimon, with the goal to honor at the best, the most important race of the season, the Giro d’Italia: “We want to be competitive in Giro d’Italia and than we had been considering also the Tour of japan line-up for the end of May, the most important moment of our racing calendar. From the mountains of trentino a good climber, already called by Cassani for stages with the Italian Selection. In the current season a good placement in Volta Limburg with a 5th position of stage, in the escape at Giro of Trentino. I’m looking to stages of second and third week.”GIANFRANCO ZILIOLI: #TheClimber One of the most able climbers of the team Nippo Vini Fantini , a good support for the captain, but also ready to surprise in the third week of Giro. 4th place in Italian Championship 2015, at his second participation to the pink ride, but the first with #OrangeBlue jersey. “I crashed in Appennino stopping a good growth because of a broken shoulder, but the Giro is a long ride and my stages will come in the second and third week. I’m fully recovered and I will be ready in the third week of Giro. The first week we will be doing lots of km and I will grow my performances while riding to be useful for team strategies and Damiano Cunego in the second part of Giro. The fastest rider of the #OrangeBlue roster of this Giro, able to be there also in hard stages and when the weather goes bad, as he show in Giro del Piemonte 2015 concluded in 4th position and in the 13th stage of the Giro d’Italia 2015 closed at the 5th place. The young Rumenian talent, at his second Giro d’Italia, is looking for the podium: “I want to thank Sports Directors for the trust and for the call, I want to ra-pay them catching at least a podium in a sprint and being part of some important action.”RICCARDO STACCHIOTTI: #TheWinningGregarious. The young talent growth inside the team Nippo Vini Fantini , since from the Under23 category and keeping his growth in the second Giro d’Italia of his career. Started with a gregarious role he won stages and the general ranking of the Tour de Hokkaido 2015. Ready to continue his growth with a great Giro d’Italia 2016: “In this year and an half in the Professional category I growth a lot. The experience of Giro d’Italia 2015 helps me to improve has man and as rider, taking myself to the victory in Japan in the end of the season.
