Sidi Sport, le scarpe che hanno fatto la storia del ciclismo, firmano la prima grande classicissima della stagione 2016 : la Milano Sanremo. Il merito è tutto del velocista francese Arnaud Demare (Fdj) con le Sidi Wire ai piedi, con cui ha pedalato per i 296 km del Mondiale di Primavera. Con una volata lunghissima di straordinaria potenza Demare si è messo alle spalle tutta l’agguerrita concorrenza tagliando a braccia alzate il traguardo di Sanremo dopo una cavalcata di quasi 300 km.

Ed ovviamente all'arrivo non poteva mancare l'abbraccio con Antonio Rossetto , l'uomo Sidi Sport da oltre 20 anni al fianco di tutti i campioni alle gare di ciclismo.

Proprio sul Poggio a provarci è stato un altro dei big Sidi Sport, il polacco Michal Kwiatkowski (Team Sky) purtroppo però ripreso nel finale.

Secondo posto per il britannico Ben Swift (Team Sky) e terzo il belga Jurgen Roelandts (Lotto Soudal). Tanti i campioni Sidi nella Top10 della Sanremo: 4° Nacer Bouhanni (Cofidis), 6° Alexander Kristoff (Katusha), 7° Heinrich Haussler (IAM Cycling), 8° Filippo Pozzato (Southeast) e 10° Matteo Trentin (Etixx – Quick-Step).

Arnaud Demare delivers the Spring Super Classic to Sidi Sport.The first major season classic bears the Sidi Sport signature. All the credit goes to French sprinter Arnaud Demare (Fdj). With a very long, extraordinarily powerful sprint, Demare left behind all the fierce competition, crossing the Sanremo finish line with arms in the air after an almost 300 km ride.The French rider was over the moon. He showed up for the Spring Super Classic in top form after the Paris-Nice, where he had also managed to win a stage. He is a rider aware of his skills but also conscious of having to contend with a high level of competition.

Another big name from Sidi Sport, Poland’s Michal Kwiatkowski (Team Sky) also gave it a good try right there on the Poggio, but he got caught in the final. Then, a thick group of the fastest sprinters made it to the straightaway towards the arrival, but the Frenchman from Fdj had no rivals as he vied for a perfect sprint. Second place went to Britain’s Ben Swift (Team Sky) and third to Belgian Jurgen Roelandts (Lotto Soudal).
